About the job:

We have a new, exciting opportunity for experienced Best Interests Assessors to complete Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) assessments for Cambridgeshire County Council on an ad hoc basis.

  • Provide high quality ad Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards assessments and advice based on the statutory requirements arising from the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and the DOLS,
  • Carry out Best Interests assessments on an ad hoc basis,
  • Complete relevant training carried out by the Cambridgeshire County Council DOLS team.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant post qualifying professional experience,

  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Qualified Social Worker or Health Care worker,
  • Current DBS certificate subscribed to the update service,
  • HCPC registration,
  • Eligible to work in the UK,
  • Live within Cambridgeshire or surrounding areas,
  • Have successfully completed the DoLS training and hold an up to date certificate.
