About the job:

We are seeking a confident and organised person to join Northamptonshire County Council as a Facilities Officer.

  • Have an understanding of health and safety and its application to the working environment
  • Coordinate with helpdesk, security and reception for any works to be carried out.
  • Coordinate with the contractors in the site for any PPM, Reactive/Corrective Maintenance.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have the ability to understand and follow instructions and procedures.
  • Have the ability to work under own initiative and prioritise conflicting work demands.
  • Have knowledge of building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, minor plumbing tasks, minor repairs to furniture and fixtures.
  • Have the ability to work well as a part of a team or on own as part of unsupervised tasks.
  • Be computer literate, including Microsoft suit of software (Excel, Word, Outlook and the Internet).
  • Support Assistant Facilities Manager
  • Holiday entitlement of up to 31 days per annum, pro rata (including bank holidays).
  • Permanent equivalent council pay rates offered after 12 weeks
  • 3% pension contribution from employer
