About the job:

Opus LGSS are working on behalf of Northamptonshire County Council for an Information and Data Quality Analyst, to deliver reporting which provides insight into the performance of the IT Department.

The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and an analytical understanding of the data provided in order to convert into meaningful reports. This will support continual improvement across all areas of IT.

This is a temporary position for an initial three months.

  • Create or modify queries to provide the required data for a specific task. This will also include converting queries into reports which show meaning information to its target audience.
  •  Analyse data generated from queries, to ensure meaningful information is generated.
  •  Be able to use tools like PowerPoint, Excel, LANDesk and Crystal reports in order to create meaningful information.
  •  Provide Quality Assurance to ensure the data collected is as accurate as possible. This includes ensure categories are continually relevant and meaningful. Guidance must be provided to individuals, so they are clear on their responsibilities.
  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and Annual reports on a timely basis.
  • Liaise with all levels of the IT Department to ensure the quality of data is high and performance issues are understood.
  • Promote Continual Service Improvement across all levels of the organisation.
  •  Work with the Service Delivery Manager on significant issues and reporting to ensure topics are promoted and escalated as appropriate.
  • LANDesk Console Administration: The ability to create queries, export reports and amend Configuration Items.
  •  Analytical Skills: The ability to review the data and create reports which have value.
  • Quality Assurance: Review the quality of the data provided and feedback to the Analysts where appropriate.
  •  Workload Management: Daily, weekly, Monthly and Quarterly tasks need to be completed in a timely fashion
  •  ITIL Framework: Familiarity with ITIL disciplines like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and Configuration Management
  •  IT: Knowledge of tools like Excel and PowerPoint in order to create reports and presentations.
  •  Communication: Experience in communicating with diverse levels within the organisation.
  • Continual Service Improvement: Experience in improving their organisation as well as improving their own skills and knowledge using their own initiative
  •  A Level qualification or appropriate experience applicable to the post.
