About the job:

As a Project Support Administrator working for Cambridgeshire County Council through Opus LGSS, you will provide administrative support and project support to the project team within The ICT Service (Education) to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of projects within agreed timescales.

This position is for an initial three months with the potential to extend.

  • Provide administrative support and administration services including: the taking of minutes; preparation of documents and spreadsheets; arranging of meetings; dissemination of meeting papers, to ensure the smooth operation of projects.
  • Carry out Project Officer functions including document control; configuration management; report generation and distribution; maintaining project files; management and distribution of the products; collecting, chasing and maintaining project/programme level data.
  • Administer processes/systems including keeping general documentation up to date; preparing reports; allocating and setting up master data, in order to provide accurate and timely management information.
  •  Liaise with key users and stakeholders to ensure that the user and project workstream teams coordinate their activities and that scheduling of implementation is effective.
  • Support project boards to ensure effective meetings and project management.
  • Schedule resources, working with 3rd parties, customers and internal resources to deliver projects on time and in budget.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are required, together with the ability for attention to detail.
  • Candidates must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Considerable previous experience of working in an office environment within a similar project support role.
  • You will need to have a flexible approach and able to work to tight deadlines with the ability to be pro-active and work as part of a team and autonomously with guidelines.
  • An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
