Opus LGSS, on behalf of Northamptonshire County Council, is looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills, personal attributes to be able to motivate and support people living in their homes by promoting independence, well-being, rights and choices of customers. This role involves working with other professionals and is an ideal opportunity to progress in the care sector.

No experience needed as free training will be provided.

  • Travelling to people’s home in your region to provide high quality care tailored to the needs of the individual.
  • Supporting customers in their own homes, providing personal and intimate care whilst promoting their independence, giving emotional support to enable customers to control and manage their own lives.
  • Motivating customers to achieve the goals they have set.
  • Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
  • Helping people regain their independence in their own home.
  • Actively participating in the running and management of the homes and communicating and liaising effectively with managers, other professionals, agencies and families.
  • Ensuring clear, concise and accurate records are kept of each visit.
  • Ensuring changes in reablement plans where required, are passed to a Team Leader for further action including any possible identified therapy needs.
  • Always be aware of health and safety and follow the risk assessment.
