About the job:

We are seeking a Senior Recruiter on behalf of Northamptonshire County Council, to maintain the level of vacancy fill rates for Children’s First Northamptonshire (CFN), specifically around qualified social work roles, taking the lead on developing attraction methods (mainly digital) and building networks of social workers to develop a talent pool

  • Maintain the level of vacancy fill rates for Children’s First Northamptonshire (CFN), specifically around qualified social work roles, taking the lead on developing attraction methods (mainly digital) and building networks of social workers to develop a talent pool.
  • Lead on recruitment for CFN including recruitment reporting, attending Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other meetings as a representative for recruitment
  • Build strong and positive relationships with the service hiring managers and deliver a full end to end Recruitment process including; writing advert copy and marketing material, identifying the most productive advertising platform(s), screening and selection and managing the on board of offered candidates.
  • Partnering closely with the business (hiring managers, HR, senior management) to understand direction of the business and workforce needs. Developing associated recruitment plans.
  • Leading on talent attraction – building and liaising with partners to build campaigns and social content to build the CFN employer brand in the external market and to increase quality applications and vacancy fill rates for permanent recruitment.
  • Use data, metrics and internal / external trends to provide leaders with insights to inform business decisions, organisational structure and HR projects.
  • Provide a high-quality candidate focussed recruitment experience.
  • A demonstrable track record in filling permanent vacancies via direct recruitment methods.
  • Experience of successfully recruiting within a social work or nursing environment.
  • Ability to produce regular recruitment and workforce reports and analyse workforce data.
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels, with strong influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of the multi-channel attraction strategies focussed on social and digital media.
  • External recruitment experience In-house, agency or RPO background.
  • Experience of successfully utilising Boolean searches and building candidate networks.
  • Experienced enough to confidently challenge senior leaders and hiring managers when appropriate.

  • Holiday entitlement of up to 31 days per annum, pro rata (including bank holidays).
